This 70,000 SF academic facility will create a new interdisciplinary hub for global studies within a mass‑timber tower rising 186 feet, the tallest of its kind in the Northeast. The building will house classrooms, faculty offices, research “living rooms,” and event spaces within an all‑electric, triple‑glazed, fossil‑fuel‑free design that concentrates its footprint to expand future campus green space. This $135 million, LEED Silver research facility provides advanced laboratory space for the Vagelos Integrated Program in Energy Research (VIPER), a dual-degree program spanning Arts & Sciences and Engineering. The 120,000 SF Chemistry & Chemical Biology Building provides advanced laboratory and academic space within a Gothic-inspired exterior designed to complement the surrounding campus architecture. The four-story facility includes undergraduate teaching laboratories, wet and dry research labs for graduate programs, offices, a basement level, and a mechanical penthouse, supporting both instruction and cutting-edge scientific research. Dineen Hall is a 200,000 SF, five-story law school facility designed to support collaborative legal education and public engagement. Organized around a central atrium, the building connects library resources, ceremonial courtroom space, and celebratory gathering areas, with a green roof terrace integrated above. The 80,573 SF Honors College is a five-story academic facility designed to support collaborative learning and student engagement. The building includes seminar rooms, lecture spaces, classrooms, a café, library, and student lounges, along with administrative and faculty offices. Distinctive features include cantilevered learning lofts within the atrium and an exterior amphitheater terrace that provides space for study, events, and informal interaction.
Morphosis

The 150,000 SF Bloomberg Center serves as Cornell Tech’s primary academic building and the first completed structure on the Roosevelt Island campus. Designed to support collaborative learning and innovation, the facility includes classrooms, shared workspaces, instructional labs, and conference rooms organized to encourage interaction across disciplines. This 129,140 SF project combined 74,460 SF of new construction with 54,680 SF of renovation to expand research, laboratory, and teaching facilities while strengthening connections between the hospital and academic complex. A new gallery space establishes a central “town square” for the campus, supporting informal gatherings, events, and social interaction.
